Angkor Wat also known as Nokor Wat temple is the largest Hindu temple in the world situated in Cambodia. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in 12th century. Here religious tolerance of Hinduism and Buddhism is seen. It is a Vishnu temple and combination of Khmer architecture and Kalinga architecture. The meaning of the name Angkor Wat is “Temple City” or City of temples”.
